Welcome to U.S.E. and the Bachelor's programme Economics and Business Economics. On this page you can find all the information you need to know as you start your university career in Utrecht.

Orientation Programme

The orientation week for new students will take place from 2nd to 4th September 2025. Your time at Utrecht University will start with this orientation programme where you get to know your fellow students, campus and the programme. International students can also join the UU Welcome Week.

Know what to expect

Take a look at your study programme and the academic calendar. Your schedule/timetable will be online from end of August. Find out what course material you will need and where you can get it. 


Install digital tools and login to platforms

When you start at Utrecht University, you will receive a Solis ID and e-mail address, with which you will have access to various educational platforms that are important for your studies. For example, the MyUU app, Outlook or Brightspace. The MyUU app also contains your digital student card.

The student website for the BA Economics and Business Economics Economics and Business Economics - Students UU is one of the most important digital tools during your studies. Here you will find information on, for example, your study programme, study advisor or course registration.


Know who to turn to

Studying comes with challenges. Need support? Check Support and development. Contact your Study Advisor who can guide and advise you on your study (choice) and setting up an academic plan. The Student Information Desk handles practical questions.


Studying with a disability?

Please contact your study advisor as soon as possible so that facilities can be arranged on time and you can use them right from study period 1.
