Study programme

Your Master’s programme begins with two compulsory courses in Period 1: 

• Critical Reflection on Criminology 

• Advanced Methodology 

After taking these courses, you will follow three other modules in the second period, namely the third compulsory course (Cultural Criminology) and two elective courses out of four.

Students also complete a research thesis periods 3 and 4.

• Critical Reflection on Criminology (7.5 EC)
• Advanced Methodology (7.5 EC)

Period 2

• Cultural criminology (5 EC)

• Two out of four elective modules: 

  Crossborder Crime (5 EC) 
  Crimes of the Powerful and Green Criminology (5 EC)
  Green Criminology (5 EC)
  Digital Criminology (5 EC)

Period 3 & 4

• Research and Thesis Global Criminology
  (including fieldwork/internship) (30 EC)
