Part of the programme may be completed abroad, in consultation with the tutor and the Programme Coordinator. Contact your tutor early if this is anticipated.

A number of grants are available at both Faculty and University level, and Utrecht University has a number of working agreements with universities and institutions abroad in and outside of Europe. Consult the website of the International Office Geesteswetenschappen with regard to studies within the European Union, and the website of International Office UU study stays elsewhere.

This year, for example, we have students studying at the University of Toronto, at the Maximillian Universität in Munich, Germany, and Washington University in St. Louis.

STUDY ABROAD

Utrecht University has exchange agreements with universities throughout the world. The Faculty of Humanities has agreements on specific subject areas, while university-wide agreements are open to students of all faculties (in general). During an exchange programme, you remain enrolled at Utrecht University and pay tuition fees only to UU.

Want to read more and get started?

Make sure that you first read the information under Study Abroad in the left-hand navigation of this page. Then continue to the university-wide pages on Study Abroad. Under step 2 you will find a list of all partner universities. Depending on which university you choose, you will be supported by the faculty of the university-wide International Office.
