When do you write your Master's thesis?

You will write your Master's thesis during the second semester of year 2.  Go to the thesis course description


What should you demonstrate in your Master's thesis?

  • knowledge of the scientific literature in the field of Modern and Contemporary History
  • the ability to independently select a relevant case and formulate a relevant research question, and to be able to answer this question with a conclusion
  • the ability to independently collect and process literature and other source material
  • the ability to write clearly and legibly at an academic level


Submitting and uploading your thesis proposal and thesis

You submit your thesis proposal as well as your actual thesis via Osiris. In Osiris, you can also track your progress and the final grade will appear. Is your thesis approved? Then you have to upload the final version in the thesis archive.
