Guidance and development
Running into a problem during your studies or looking for personal advice? You don't have to study alone. There are several people who can give you advice and guide you. You can also take part in activities, training courses or study groups.
Study-related support
Within your programme you may turn to the following people for advise:
- Programme Coordinator: this is your first contact within the Master’s programme for questions related to the programme's contents.
- Tutor: for questions relating to the contents of the programme.
- Study Advisor: for questions on the curriculum, studying with a disability and personal matters affecting your studies.
- International Office: for questions regarding enrollment in extra courses abroad.
- Career Officer: for information about your career, future possibilities as well as relevant workshops and help with job applications.
- Student Information Desk Humanities: for more practical questions related to your programme.
Questions not related to your study programme
The UU offers all kinds of support in the field of wellbeing and development:
- Workshops wellbeing trainers Humanities: for workshops to help you cope with performance pressure, learning to study, making choices, setting priorities and graduation.
- Skills Lab: workshops, courses and guidance regarding writing, studying and other academic skills.
- Student psychologist: support in solving personal problems that stand in the way of your study progress.
- Humanities inappropriate behaviour contact: for advise in case you have been the victim of inappropriate behaviour.

Questions not related to your study programme
In some cases you may want to consult someone who is not related to your specific study programme. For example, if you fall behind due to extenuating circumstances or mental health issues, and it is not possible to correct this through an adjustment in your programme. If this is the case, you may use the contacts mentioned below.
