Year 3
Year 3 is all about your final project. You will take the following courses:
- 7.5 EC Capstone Course Linguistics (preparation for your thesis)
- 7.5 EC Thesis
- 45 EC Elective courses (of the 60 EC you will have to obtain in your programme)

Period 1 or 3: Capstone Course Linguistics (EV)
The Capstone Course Linguistics prepares you to write your final thesis. You will write a proposal and gain insight into the research being carried out at the university within your field of study.
Period 2, 3 or 4: Final thesis
You conclude your major with the BA Final Thesis. You are free to choose the subject, as long as it is part of Linguistics research area.
Elective courses
You choose the remaining 45 EC in elective courses. As electives you can start with a minor, do an internship, go abroad or choose from a broad range of available courses. Make sure to check each course's entry requirements.
