The subject of your Master's thesis follows from the track you choose: Practice, Applied Research or Research.

When do you write your Master's thesis?
Thesis tutorials start in study period 3 and you will write your thesis in study period 4. Go to the thesis course description.
What should you demonstrate in your Master's thesis?
- knowledge of and insight into to field of History of International Relations
- knowledge of a focus area within the study programme
- academic skills to identify, formulate, analyse and suggest possible solutions to problems in the field of History of International Relations
- academic skills to conduct research on the History of International Relations and report on it in a manner that meets the customary standards of the discipline
- the ability to communicate conclusions, as well as the underlying knowledge, grounds and considerations, to an audience composed of specialists or non-specialists.
Submitting and uploading your thesis proposal and thesis
You submit your thesis proposal as well as your actual thesis via Osiris. In Osiris, you can also track your progress and the final grade will appear. Is your thesis approved? Then you have to upload the final version in the thesis archive.
