Year 1
In the first year, you follow two core profiles. These introduce you to various time periods, including Antiquity, the Middle Ages, (early) modern and contemporary history. You will also learn more about history as a discipline. You will also orient yourself to important theories, methods, knowledge and skills of your studies. They prepare you for a specialisation that you take in year 2. A core profile consists of 4 courses. You take two courses per study period.
Year 2
In year 2, you follow a specialisation. You also take compulsory courses in study period 1 and 2: a writing course and theory of history. You take the theory of history course within your chosen track. The rest of the year consists of electives within your profiling space.
