When do you write your Master's thesis?
Preparation for your thesis starts in study period 2 with writing your thesis plan and an introductory chapter. You then write your thesis and conduct research in study periods 3 and 4. You will write your thesis individually, but regularly work together in thematic groups of 5 students. Go to the thesis course description.
What should you demonstrate in your Master's thesis?
- Carrying out your own comparative research or historical research project in the field of the History of Politics and Society
- Using appropriate theories, concepts and methods as covered during the Master's programme
- Reporting on your research in a way that meets academic standards
Submitting and uploading your thesis
You submit the outline for your thesis as well as your actual thesis via Osiris. In Osiris, you can also track your progress and the final grade will appear. Is your thesis approved? Then you have to upload the final version in the thesis archive.
