If you wish to go abroad as an exchange student, then the following conditions apply:

  • You are enrolled as a fulltime student at Utrecht University, during your exchange period;
  • Courses that you enroll in abroad must be part of your curriculum at Utrecht University.

Making a study plan

In order to apply for an exchange, you have to prepare a study plan which must be approved by the programme coordinator of your Bachelor's programme. As soon as you have an indication of which courses you wish to take, you can make an appointment with the programme coordinator and discuss your plans. Oftentimes it is not possible to know exactly which courses you are able to enroll in (the course offer at the intended partner university can still change). In that case, you can base your study plan on the partner's information that is available at that moment.
