The Study Advisors of the Faculty of Humanities have daily telephone hours:

    from 10.00 - 12.00 on working days

The walk-in hours have been cancelled until further notice.


We will work from home and remain accessible through email. If you have any questions, send us an email and we will contact you as soon as possible. Click on your Study Advisor's name to open their profile page with the most up-to-date contact information.

Making an appointment

Appointments are as usual and will be held through Microsoft Teams (install the app and log in with your UU mail address). To make an appointment, please call the Humanities Student Information Desk.

Who to go to with a question?

  • Specific or complex questions about your programme > your programme's Study Advisor.
  • General questions or urgent issues > any of the office hours
  • A more elaborate consult (max. 30 minutes) > make an appointment via the Student Desk Humanities or via the telephone office hours

If you think you are falling behind in your studies, please contact your Study Advisor as soon as possible.

What does a study advisor do?

The Study Advisors are there as/for, among other things:

  • Counselor
  • Questions about program
  • Illness and special circumstances
  • Arrangements and procedures
  • Personal conversation
  • Complaints, objection, appeal
  • Improve academic skills
  • Intake interview handicap/chronic illness for facilities
  • Submit evidence if test missed due to force majeure
