Compulsory courses and tutorials
In study period 1, you take three compulsory courses, in which you learn to understand the position of cultural history in science and cultural history methods. In study period 2, you will choose three tutorials from a wide range of topics, which will be announced in study period 1.
Final project
In the second semester, you do an (international) internship at an institution from the cultural history or heritage sector. You work on a research project, which ultimately results in a final product. Your research and graduation product connect to the questions and knowledge of the internship partner; think of a podcast, documentary or exhibition.
Part-time programme
You can complete the Master's programme in 2 instead of 1 year. In principle, lectures take place during the day, but some parts, such as the thesis, can be supervised in consultation and by appointment. Discuss the possibilities with the Programme Coordinator.
Exam requirements
In order to complete your Master's programme you will need to meet the exam requirements. You can find the exam requirements in the Education and Examination Regulations.
