Internships

An internship offers you the opportunity to gain practical experience in your field of study and to assess your own knowledge and skills, better preparing you for employment after graduation.

Examples of Internships

In recent years, students of our Master’s programme have had internships with, for example International Theatre Amsterdam, Theater Rotterdam, Het Nationale Theater, Oostpool, Nederlandse Dansdagen, Theatre De Brakke Grond, Spring Performing Arts Festival, Dancing on the Edge festival, Veem House of Performance, Het Huis Utrecht, DAS Graduate School and Holland Festival.

Abroad

Some students opted to do their internship abroad with (among others) Kaaitheater, Gob Squad, Kris Verdonck, NTGent and DanceSpaceProject New York. Read more on doing an internship abroad.

Research Projects

You can also tag on to ongoing research of organisations affiliated with our staff members such as Performance Studies internationalInternational Society for Intermediality Studies, or Platform-Scenography

During an Internship Lab at the end of block 1 possibilities for internships and designing your second semester are introduced and discussed during a meeting with master students, alumni and staff.

Internship products and assessment

You will complete the internship with an internship report and a research report. These reports will be graded by your supervising lecturer.
