Graduation project
Your graduation project consist of writing a Master's thesis and doing an internship:
- Master's thesis
A Master's thesis is an academic report in which you make an independent contribution to theatre or dance studies research. - Internship
Doing an internship is compulsory. An internship lasts for a a full teaching period.
Master's thesis
The starting point for your thesis is a research question on which you base your response to your own research. Every Master's thesis is assessed by two reviewers. The thesis supervisor is the first reviewer; a second staff member acts as second reviewer. At least one of the reviewers is affiliated with the master’s programme for which the student is registered. In most cases this will be the thesis supervisor.
Thesis approval
Before starting your thesis, the thesis supervisor and the second reviewer will need to approve your research proposal. They will give you formal permission to commence the work by signing the Thesis protocol, which you will have to hand in at the Student Information Desk.

Forms and procedures Master's thesis
Your Master's thesis will be assessed following specific evaluation procedures. You can prepare for this by reading the following documents and explanations prior to starting your thesis.
Thesis Archive
Once your thesis has been completed and approved, you will need to upload the final version and, if so desired, publish it in the thesis archive via Osiris > Cases. Choose Archive & publish thesis - Follow-up Case and Archive your thesis.
