Curriculum

This Master's programme is also offered on a part-time basis. 

Compulsory courses

In study period 1 and 2, you will take a total of five compulsory courses that focus on researching, exploring, curating and thinking Arts and Society. 

Electives

In study period 2 you can choose one from eight elective courses for 5 EC in total. 

Internship and Master's thesis

Study period 3 and 4 are devoted to your internship and thesis. The MA thesis is a scholarly text in which you are expected to contribute, on the basis of independent research, to a debate within the field of arts and society.

Part-time programme

You can complete the Master's programme in 2 instead of 1 year. In principle, lectures take place during the day, but some parts, such as the thesis, can be supervised in consultation and by appointment. Discuss the possibilities with the Programme Coordinator.
