FAQ This Is UU-Week

This Is UU week offers you, as a UU student, a free opportunity to get to know various activities in Utrecht in your own area of interest. Getting to know fellow students and Utrecht's cultural/sports/campus/social life often happens at the beginning of the study, but many students also have this need later in their studies. That's why there is the This Is UU week: 18 to 20 April 2023 ( education-free week)! 

You can! The aim is to meet new people but (also) if you want to come together you can sign up for the same activity in the same time slot.

There is one central point per day where people will gather before the activities start. On Tuesday this is the Cultuur Café in Parnassos, on Wednesday the Sports Café in Olympos and on Thursday the central hall in the Koningsbergers building.

Full = full. If there are still places available on the day, you can join! Ask the organisers, identified by yellow UU sweatshirts, where your spot is.

Yes definitely! Most of the students who register for the This is UU week will come alone, also with the aim of getting to know fellow students with similar interests. That's what the This Is UU week all about!

Yes, everyone is welcome! Both national and international students can sign up for (almost) any activity. We make no difference so the activities will be explained bilingually (where necessary). There are only two exceptions, during registration this is indicated with 'Dutch speaking only'.

Yes, there is no maximum number of activities you can sign up for. You can choose different activities and compile your own weekly programme. Are you interested in only one activity or do you have a busy schedule that week? No problem! Just sign up for one activity and join in. Click here to sign up directly!

No, participation in all activities is completely free and there will even be free food and/or drinks offered at most activities. The This Is UU week is organised from the National Education Programme (NPO) funded by the government.  The National Education Programme is there to restore your wellbeing and bond with education after the coronapandemic event. With NPO money, UU provides extra guidance, activities and facilities, including the This Is UU week.  

Yes, you can! We do our utmost to make the activities accessible. Furthermore, most activities take place at UU locations. These locations have the necessary facilities standard in the building, see the links below. Do you have questions about this? Contact the organisation and together we will look further! During registration, we ask about any limitations so that these can be taken into account if necessary.
