The Vagant can be booked by recognised student organisations and UU employees. A distinction is made for who may reserve when in the long, medium and short term. Read the booking terms for an explanation of who can organise when.
You reserve The Vagant via Topdesk by logging in and going to:
- 'Events (online), meetings (hybrid), borrowing, booking'
- 'Halls, events and online events'
- 'Booking request The Vagant'
- Then you are at The Vagant's reservation system
No, that is not possible. Would you like to discuss whether a small-scale activity can take place where it is not a problem if other people are present in the room? Then you can contact the Vagant Committee at commissie.devagant@uu.nl.
You can do so by sending an email to the Zaalreserveringsen team, via fsc.evenementen@uu.nl. It is useful to include your reservation number. Please note that the Vagant committee is not able to make adjustments to your reservation.
No, that is not possible. The Vagant is here for all UU students and this way we keep room for activities from as many different organisers as possible.
This is possible, however you will need to hire extra security and reception staff, this will involve extra costs. Keep in mind that your request cannot always be honoured due to non-standard deployment of staff on weekends.

The Zaal has 50 chairs, 8 bar tables and 1 folding table as standard. In the storage room (next to the entrance) there are 8 folding tables. There are also screens and an audio system that can be connected with an HDMI cable. All other items must be reserved via Topdesk or brought yourself. Items you bring yourself must be removed from "The Zaal" after the event.
Yes, there is an HDMI connection to which laptops etc. can be connected.
There are no cooking facilities such as a cooker, oven or microwave. You are not allowed to bring your own. However, a fridge, sink, kettle and coffee machine (for coffee powder) are available at the pantry of "The Zaal".
