An agenda filled with studying, combined with a side job or board work, sports and social activities? Is this recognizable to you? A full schedule and pressure to perform sometimes leave little opportunity to unwind. If there is too much tension for too long, it becomes increasingly difficult to relax as your worries increase. This can lead to high stress levels, which is unpleasant on the short term and unhealthy on the long term.

In this workshop we look at how stress arises and how you can recognize its symptoms. We map out what you can do to cope with it. What is relaxing for you? How do you ensure that you practice healthy habits (more)? Furthermore, we will investigate which beliefs may underlie your stress. How do certain thoughts affect your well-being? Are those thoughts true? Do you always have to please everyone? Do you have to be perfect? Do you always have to be strong? We will do a few mindfulness exercises. You will train your attention, so that you can be more aware of the state of your body and mind. Doing these exercises at home may allow you to find more peace and relax more consciously.

After this workshop you will have a better understanding of your own stress responses. You will be better able to recognize these signals and respond to them more consciously. As a result you will experience less anxiety and more grip.

Please note: if you are specifically looking for guidance in how to deal with time and tasks or to live a more balanced life we recommend you to attend the ‘Working Consciously & Effectively’ or ‘Energy Management’ workshop. And if you are experiencing stress because you are insecure about your next steps in life and career we recommend you to attend the “Find Your Ikigai” workshop and have a look at the Career Services webpage.
