If you have an autism spectrum disorder, it often creates additional challenges while studying. Think about making a realistic schedule, dealing with large amounts of work or collaborating in a group. And in addition to studying successfully, you also want to leave time and energy for other things you want or need to do. If you find that you are struggling to find a good balance in this, the study support group offers you guidance in a small group. The group is supervised by a UU student psychologist and is Dutch spoken only.

Do you have a question about ASD? Then we would also like to draw your attention to the telephone consultation hour of Jados, every Friday between 12:00 and 13:00.

Goal

The goal is to support the study progress in order to help prevent early drop-out and promote independence in the study process.

In the group you get the opportunity to work on goals you have set for yourself. These can be about time management, building social contacts or learning to cope with overstimulation, for example. The group helps you set achievable goals and motivate yourself. There is also time to exchange strategies and experiences with fellow students, based on themes. This way, you get concrete tips and advice. The group is supervised by UU student psychologists.

The study support group is offered several times a year. The program consists of 7 meetings of 1.5 hours, on a fixed day of the week.
