Projects abroad
Are you considering a research project or writing assignment abroad? We strongly recommend starting your preparations nine to eleven months in advance, as there is a lot to organise before you depart. More information is provided via the university website.
Steps before your adventure begins
All information is available on a dedicated university website. Below is a brief overview of the steps. To access the website, click the button below or select any of the steps listed.

1 | Orientation and travel policy
Planning a research project or internship abroad? Start early, consult your programme coordinator, explore options, and ensure it meets UU's travel safety requirements.

2 | Costs, funding and scholarship
Budget for travel costs, apply for grants at least six months in advance, and explore options like the Travel Green Grant or Erasmus+ scholarship.

3 | Approval and application process
Before you register your internship/research/field work abroad in Osiris you need to have approval. On the website of the university, please select your programme to read more about the process.

4 | Share your experience
After you return it is important that you have your grades and credits registered correctly. But also sharing your experience helps fellow students in their journey.
