GSLS Buddy Programme

The Buddy Programme at the Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS) is designed to help new international Master's students and those who completed their Bachelor’s outside of Utrecht University (UU) to integrate into the UU community.

Are you new to Utrecht or joining from another university? The GSLS Buddy Programme is here to help you adjust smoothly. By joining, you'll be paired with a fellow student who shares a similar background, providing you with a go-to person for any questions you have — whether it’s about enrolling in courses, finding university buildings, where to buy a good bike, explain how public transport works, assist with practicalities like banking and housing, or simply meet up for a chat over coffee. Plus, the GSLS organises fun social activities to help you meet other new students.

Signing up is free, and you will be matched with a buddy before the academic year starts. If your buddy can't answer a question, official resources like the UU International Office are always available to assist.
