Broadening Life Sciences
Broadening Life Sciences consists of two components; Life Sciences Seminars and Life Sciences Career Events. Both are essential for completing the module requirements, which conclude with a self-reflection. This programme offers valuable insights and opportunities to broaden your perspective on Life Sciences and explore various career options. Details about the Life Sciences Seminars and Career Events are provided below.
Life Sciences Seminars
The seminars are designed to facilitate networking and knowledge exchange among peers and experts. Held monthly on the third Tuesday or Thursday from 16:00 to 17:00, these in-person seminars focus on broadening your understanding of the life sciences field through interactive discussions and presentations. As networking is a core component, these seminars are not available via live stream.
To complete this section, you must attend at least seven seminars. Five of these must be organised by the GSLS, while two can be attended elsewhere. For seminars outside the GSLS, you will need approval from your Master's coordinator.

For example, the workshops Exploring the Job Market and Networking, Master's Programme and Career, and Self-analysis for Career Orientation are good options. We also encourage you to attend the BCF Career event. Are you going to another interesting career event and are you unsure whether you can use it for your track list?
