The Alumnitool on LinkedIn can help you gain insight into possible careers after you finish your degree. It can also help you get in contact with an alumnus or alumna of your degree programme or other programmes. Nearly all graduates have a LinkedIn profile and can answer questions about your future career. They’re often more than happy to share their experiences with you. The video belows explains how the alumnitool works, and how you can use search criteria to find career information that is relevant to you.

Think big, work hard, be flexible and dare to innovate
“Think big, work hard, be flexible and dare to innovate. This Master’s programme empowers business-minded scientists and scientifically-skilled businesspeople to solve future problems by combining academic knowledge and commercial application. I started my professional career by doing (additional) internships abroad for big chemical and pharmaceutical companies before landing my current job. I work at Astellas, a mid-size pharmaceutical company in the Netherlands, as marketing planning manager. On a daily basis I transform both quantitative and qualitative data into insights and recommendations. I provide this support to product managers, medical managers, sales managers and to other departments such as finance. There really isn’t a single course or topic in this Master’s programme that I haven’t drawn on over the past year, ranging from writing business plans to developing various ICT applications.”
