Thesis
The Master's thesis part of the programme (20 ECTS) ensures that you are able to set up and carry out an empirical scientific study. You write your thesis based on an empirical research project that you carry out autonomously. It is primarily conducted within one semester, with preparations commencing in period 1.

Internship and thesis
You ideally develop your thesis in close collaboration with internship organizations. The thematic focus of both your thesis and internship will match with your chosen track. Both internship and thesis must be defended in the light of issues related to youth, education and society, as well as scientific research and methodologies.
Ethical review
All students must have their thesis project ethically reviewed by the FERB through the online tool UU-SER. More information about the procedure and associated protocols can be found on the Student Ethics Review & Registration Site (UU-SER) website.
Submitting your thesis
Theses will be archived in the administrative system 'Osiris Zaak' or 'Osiris Case'. As soon as you have successfully completed your thesis, you will receive an invitation from your programme to start up your case in Osiris Case.
