Tracks
Within the Master's programme students can choose between three tracks. The track you have chosen will define the focus of your internship and thesis, the content of the Academic Professional module, the content of assignments in the core subjects, and your Practical course.

How does your track choice influence your study?
All students follow the same courses, however the following courses have track specific elements:
- YES01: Paradigms & Global Perspectives: lectures followed by all tracks together
- YES02: Critical Debates and Comparative Analyses: track specific seminars
- YES03: Prevention 3.0: lectures followed by all tracks together
- YES05: Academic Professional (5 ECTS): track specific master classes
- YES06: Internship (12,5 ECTS): track specific internship placements
- YES07: Thesis (20 ECTS): track specific thematic focus of the master thesis
- YES08: Practical (2,5 ECTS): track specific field consultations on interventions and policies
Youth Policy, Education and Prevention (YEP) track
Within the Youth Policy, Education and Prevention (YEP) track, you will complete an internship and focus your thesis research on contemporary social issues in the area of childrearing in the Netherlands. Relevant national, local and international policies from the field of youth care and education will be discussed comparatively.
Pedagogy and International Development (PID) track
Within this track, your internship and thesis will be focused on the pedagogical aspects of international humanitarian cooperation. This includes international aid that is geared towards improving the living conditions, care, and educational environment of children.
Education for Inclusive Societies (EFIS) track
This track is a collaboration with the Graduate School of Teaching and Educational Sciences. It will prepare you to design inclusive pedagogical interventions, curricula, didactics, collaborative learning models, relational/teaching models and education policies that are needed to address increasingly diverse schools and classrooms.
