Tracks
In September you choose one of our three tracks. Each track consists of a core course, an elective, and a second sociological track course, all in period 2. Track registration must be completed by September. In autumn 2025 (exact dates to be announced), you will select your elective and second sociological track course.

Criminology and Safety track
In the Criminology and Safety track, you develop your understanding of issues surrounding crime and criminal justice policy responses. You will acquire knowledge about the causes of crime in different environments, the impact on public safety and the effectiveness of policy solutions.
The Digital Society track
This track aims to equip you with the skills to translate social challenges and policy issues related to online processes into relevant research questions, that can be studied with digital data. And conversely, to interpret and apply results from data analysis to relevant social contexts and policy recommendations.
Essentials of Care track
In this track, you will develop an understanding of current changes in healthcare systems in the Western world.
