Curriculum outline
The SaSR programme is divided into four semesters. The curriculum comprises three major components: theoretical models and advanced theoretical topics, advanced quantitative research methods, and integrating theory and empirical research (e.g. in a Master's thesis).
| Duration | 2 years |
|---|---|
| Study Credits | 120 EC |
| Courses | 37.5 EC |
| Thesis | 22.5 EC |
Year 1
In four compulsory courses, you will study relevant theories and methods and learn how to integrate them. In the two Methodology and Statistics courses, you will use advanced methods and statistical techniques. The two research practicals will give you the opportunity to apply what you learned in the courses.
Year 2
In the second year, the Master's thesis is central to the curriculum, providing an opportunity to apply theory and research methods skills to produce a publishable article for a scientific journal. You'll present your results and discuss them in two research seminars with fellow students and lecturers. You will also take one elective.
