Students who complete the academic Master's degree programme in Social Policy and Public Health will be able to:
- analyse social issues and integrate theoretical concepts regarding the relationship between individuals and society in the domains of health and wellbeing;
- analyse and evaluate social policy and intervention concepts and practices to promote health and wellbeing in an independent and scientifically sound manner;
- utilise theories derived from social science disciplines and incorporate research strategies in an interdisciplinary manner, and apply these to social policies and interventions.
And, in doing the above:
- take into account the relationship between 1) individuals and their social environment; 2) social relationships and organisational forms; and 3) developments in society and social policy.
