Non-degree education (pay per course)

Through non-degree courses, you can take one or more courses from the degree programmes at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.

As a contract student, you pay per course, as a result of which you have no central registration at the Utrecht University and therefore you are not entitled to study grants. All courses have a fixed price of € 725, unless otherwise specified. In addition to the course fees, you must take into account additional costs for books, readers, et cetera.

The minimum requirement for the Bachelor’s degree courses is an HBO (Higher Professional Education) level. You must have a relevant Bachelor’s degree from a research university for courses at Master’s level.

When you have completed the course with a pass, you will receive a certificate. If you decide to complete a full programme in the future, you may be able to apply to your programme’s Board of Examiners for an exemption for the component already achieved.
