Responsibilities and tasks

Within the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences there are three Boards of Examiners, one for the Bachelor's programmes, one for the one-year Master's programmes and one for the two-year Master's programmes.

The responsibilities and tasks of the Board of Examiners are laid down in the Higher Education and Scientific Research Act (Dutch: Wet op het hoger onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek).

The Board of Examiners is supported by official secretaries R. (Rianne) den Adel MSc, J. (Jaap) Meeuwissen and R. (Renske) Smit MSc.

The Regulations of the Board of Examiners include rules about test result evaluations, quality standards, testing procedures and exemptions.

Contact and submitting a request

Requests to the Board of Examiners, such as requests for exemptions and approval of courses, postponement of graduation or adjustments, can be submitted by email to the Board of Examiners via examencommissie.fsw@uu.nl.

The Board of Examiners decides on the request within a period of six weeks, counting from the date on which the request is received in its entirety.
