Compulsory courses

In the first period, the Advanced Neuropsychology course will provide in-depth knowledge of various cognitive disorders, coupled to current models of cognitive function, the latest insights from neuroanatomy and to various aetiologies. Throughout the year, you will also work on the Academic Professional course.

Electives

You must choose two electives, with at least one from the following options: Developmental Neuropsychology (period 2), Neuropsychologische Rehabilitatie (period 2, in Dutch) or Cognitive Neuropsychiatry (period 3).

Internship

The internship is an essential component of the Master’s programme in which you make your first steps as a scientist practitioner within the field of neuropsychology. Two different types of internship are possible, a clinical internship and an innovation internship.

Thesis

In the thesis, you will gain experience in setting up, conducting and documenting neuropsychological research. The thesis research can be arranged in several ways, for example at an external institution where you will test patients and/or controls, or at the university where you conduct experimental research on healthy subjects.
