Curriculum outline

The two-year programme is divided into four semesters. The first year offers state-of-the-art theories and advanced research methods. The second year’s elective space allows to tailor the program to your own interests, and prepare for the master thesis in the final semester. Your programme will differ if you opt for the clinical track.

Year 1

The first year of this programme consists of four general courses on theory and research, two methodology and statistics courses and two research practicals wherein theory and methods are integrated.


Year 2 (regular track)

The second year consists of one theoretical course and two electives, that can be combined into one research internship. The programme concludes with writing a Master’s thesis in the form of a publishable article for an international scholarly journal.


Year 2 (clinical track)

Are you also interested in clinical work, in addition to educational research? There is a possibility to follow a clinical track within EdSci. An important part of the clinical track involves a clinical internship. Read the general information about the clinical track for more details.
