Clinical track

Are you also interested in clinical work, in addition to research? There is a possibility to follow a clinical track within DaSCA in year 2, which mainly involves a clinical internship instead of a research internship. This provides you with an opportunity to obtain Dutch clinical qualifications (NVO or NIP).

Prerequisites

Because an important part of the clinical track involves a clinical internship, this track is only open for the students with a suitable BA programme. The prerequisites to enter the DaSCA clinical track are identical to those to enter the Master's programmes Orthopedagogiek or Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dutch clinical qualifications

After following the clinical track, Dutch students are eligible to obtain the Dutch clinical starting qualification: registration as ‘basis orthopedagoog’ (NVO) or ‘basis psycholoog’ (NIP). There are opportunities to obtain the basic entry psychodiagnostics (NVO ‘diagnostiekaantekening’ or BAPD).

Non-Dutch speakers

International students should be aware that for a large majority of the clinical internship places, command of the Dutch language is required. We cannot guarantee that suitable placements and qualified supervision can be found.
