Questions about the programme? E-mail: email@example.com.
The Student Information Point (STIP) is the first point of contact for students and interested others. It is the place to go with questions about your (future) degree programme at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
Due to the corona virus, our information desk will be close for an indefinite period of time. You can still reach us:
- by mail - please fill out the questionnaire to do so.
- by phone - Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Tel: 030 253 4949.
Contact a study advisor if you have any study-related questions or problems. This can include matters related to: planning your studies, doubts about your studies, regulations or falling behind due to personal circumstances.
The study advisors are not dedicated to a particular degree programme. There are six study advisors who are available to all students, regardless of their degree programme. Additionally, each study advisor has his / her own area of expertise. This may be either a particular degree programme and / or a subject such as 'studying and world-class sport'.
A study advisor can provide advice, support and information in a confidential meeting and is available during the designated telephone office hours or walk-in hours. It is also possible to make an individual appointment with a study advisor.
Due to the corona virus, all walk-in hours of the study advisors are cancelled. However, you can still mail your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you had previous mail contact with one of our study advisors, you can use his or her personal mail address. Please note: there are no study advisors available from 22 July to 16 August. For urgent matters during this period, please contact the Student Information Point (STIP).
Alternatively, you can contact us by phone during our telephone hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm). Tel: 030 253 4876. There are no telephone hours from 22 July to 16 August.
The International office offers information and support for incoming and outgoing exchange students of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Contact us if you have any questions about studying abroad on a temporary basis.
Due to the corona virus, all of our walk-in hours are cancelled until further notice. During office hours, you can still reach us by phone or mail. Please note, between July 16 and August 9, you can only reach us via email.

The university’s has a Code of Conduct designed to prevent misconduct. In case of misconduct, you can contact the Confidential Counsellor.
One of the key roles of the Confidential Counsellor is support and supervision. The Confidential Counsellor can also mediate between the parties involved in the complaint. If this fails to reach a solution, a decision can be made jointly to submit a complaint to the complaints committee. The committee will instigate an enquiry and make recommendations to the Executive Board on appropriate measures to be taken.
