The Student Information Point (STIP) is the first point of contact for students and interested others. It is the place to go with questions about your (future) degree programme at the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.

The study advisors help you with questions about your undergraduate and graduate studies and provide personal study guidance. Consult us for problems that affect the course of your studies, such as personal circumstances, illness, study delays or problems with study skills. The study advisor is independent and treats your information confidentially.
What topics can you discuss with the study advisor?
- Personal circumstances that (may) lead to study delay. Report these circumstances as soon as possible.
- Questions regarding disability, studying with a disability or chronic illness, see also Studying with a disability.
- Questions or concerns regarding binding study advice.
- Study planning: first discuss this with your tutor, contact us if you cannot work it out together.
- Study planning with exemptions in your programme (for exemptions, first approach the examination board, examencommissie.fsw@uu.nl).
- Questions about transitional arrangements.
- Graduation check.
- Doubts whether you would like to do a different study. You can also contact the study choice advisors for this.
- Complaints, see also Complaints, objections and appeals.
- Other study related questions.
The study advisor may be able to refer you to other tutors, such as the student dean, the student psychologist or the Skills Lab. You can also contact them without a referral.

- Walk-in consultation hours (Sjoerd Groenman Building, A006/A008):
- Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- You can visit us without an appointment. Should you have questions that require more time, we can make a follow-up appointment during the consultation hour.
- Phone consultation hours. Every working day from 11.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., tel. 030 253 4876.
For short questions or urgent matters for which you cannot come by. - Mail: studieadviseurs.fsw@uu.nl. You can also ask your questions by mail. If necessary, we will refer you to the consultation hour or make an appointment with you. If you have had previous email contact with a study advisor, you can also use your personal email address.
The International Office offers information and support for incoming and outgoing exchange students of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences. Contact us if you have any questions about studying abroad on a temporary basis.

Appointment
For short questions (+/- 10 minutes) or advice (+/- 30 minutes), make an appointment with one of the International Office staff members. Appointments for advice are intended for students who are still unsure about what destination to choose and want to discuss the options with a member of staff. For all other questions, you can schedule a 10-minute appointment.
Need a signature or documents? You don’t need to make an appointment, but send the forms and/or document requests to io.sbs@uu.nl.
The Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences has plenty of (computer) study places in the Martinus J. Langeveld building, the Sjoerd Groenman building, the Marinus Ruppert building and the Willem C. van Unnik building.

The Skills Lab is there to help you if you'd like to know more about developing your academic skills or if you encounter any problem during your studies. We try to map out as clearly as possible what's on offer in terms of trainings, workshops, classes, individual guidance and tools.
The Facilities Service Centre (FSC) is responsible for providing facility services at Utrecht University, such as audiovisual teaching support, catering, room hire, cleaning, waste removal, post and transport, building care and maintenance.
You can use the FSC service request form for all reports relating to facilities.
