When to apply
To ensure a strong link between theory and practice, starting the Master's programme requires an internship. This must be secured by September 1. We highly recommend to contact us by mailing master.ccfes@uu.nl to discuss possible opportunities if you do not have an internship at this stage.
How to apply
You’ll need to apply for these internships yourself, based on the institutions that are listed in our ‘internship database’. Request entrance to this database through masterstage.orthopedagogiek@uu.nl.
NVO basic registration in diagnostics
Our programme offers the chance to obtain the NVO basic registration in diagnostics (Dutch: NVO Basisaantekening diagnostiek), to fulfil the requirements for post master education. Acquiring this registration is possible if the institution where you are going to do your internship allows you to perform diagnostic assessments.
How to obtain the NVO basic registration
- You must have chosen an internship related to the first specialisation, ‘Clinical Care and Educational Provision for Children, Youth, Parents & Professionals’.
- You must select the elective course ‘Diagnostic Registration’.
- You will need to write three case reports, following a standardised format, on different clients you have diagnosed during your internship.
Internship aims
During the internship, you will gain practical experience in an organisation, school, or institution, learning skills such as diagnostics, treatment, and policy development. The focus will vary depending on the organisation—e.g., a treatment institution may prioritise treatment, while an outpatient clinic will focus on diagnostics.
