Workshop Writing a CV and Cover Letter (in English)

NB: This workshop takes offline place.

Are you looking for an internship or are you going to apply for a job? In this online session you will learn, with a maximum of 10 students, what is usual when drawing up a good CV and writing a suitable cover letter.

On the basis of instructional videos and explanations of do's and don'ts, you will receive information about the various parts of a CV and letter. We also discuss how employers make their selections and how you can respond to them. In the training you will start with the design of your CV and letter and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. After the meeting you can make an appointment with a career officer to individually discuss your CV or letter.

Who is it for: 

3rd-year and 4th-year Bachelor's and Master's degree students, recent UU graduates and PhDs. Free entrance.

Our no-show policy

We are happy to offer workshops for free to all Utrecht University students. However: free of charge does not mean free of responsibility. Our activities tend to be fully booked well in advance. For every late cancellation or no-show we have had to disappoint students who would have liked to attend. This is how we work: 

• Once you have signed up for a workshop, we expect you to attend;
• If you need to cancel your registration, do so at the earliest possible moment, at least 24 hours before the workshop;
• Not showing up without notice will mean you cannot participate in any Career Services activity for 8 weeks. Two no-shows mean you cannot participate for the remainder of the academic year.
