Workshop 'Out and about with your career'

"What can you do with your degree? " or "What do you want to be after you graduate?". These are questions you have probably been asked more than once and you may not immediately know the answer to them yourself. After all, what can you actually do? What are the possibilities at all? And more importantly: what do you really want?

Figuring out where your passion lies, what you are good at, what you like or dislike and what you want to do for a living requires exploring. Sometimes you try something and find out it's not for you after all. Other times, it hits you right away and you know you've taken a path you want to stay on. But how do you find this path? The better you orient yourself - mapping out options, weighing up choices or sometimes just doing it! - the more grip you get on what you are looking for in a future job. And good news: you can take a step towards that already this autumn!

What are we going to do?

During this workshop, you will work with other undergraduate students on the question: 'What next step do I want to take in my career orientation in the near future?'

Wat is the result?

At the end of the workshop you will have:

• a better idea of what "your career" includes and what role you have in directing your own future;
• understand which career orientation steps you have taken so far and what you can learn from them;
• made a plan (including time schedule and activities) to take the next step in your career orientation;
• tools to further investigate (independently) what your answer is to the question: "What do you want to become?".
