NB: This workshop takes place offline. You can find the location of the workshop below.
In a workplace, diversity means that employees have different cultural backgrounds, genders, career backgrounds, skills, and/or LGBTIQ+ colleagues, employees with a disability and so forth. When a company or an organisation is more homogeneous, it might feel uncomfortable to deviate from the majority of your coworkers--even to the extent that you can experience ‘minority stress’. This means that you might ask more questions about yourself and your working environment. How do I want to behave? What is expected of me? In some organisations it seems that being part of the mainstream is the only road to success. How can you deal with that?
Everyone can feel different at times, because we are all unique. Differences between employees provide a breeding ground for specific qualities and points of view. This can be very valuable in an organisation, a side job or even in a workgroup. Some qualities are especially fit for specific jobs or careers. Want to find out more? In this workshop we will look for your specific and unique qualities and see how you and your (future) work environment can benefit from them. It will be an interactive workshop, with a focus on exchange and enjoying diversity. Sign up if you feel like participating!

OUR NO-SHOW POLICY
We are happy to offer workshops for free to all Utrecht University students. However: free of charge does not mean free of responsibility. Our activities tend to be fully booked well in advance. For every late cancellation or no-show we have had to disappoint students who would have liked to attend. This is how we work:
- Once you have signed up for a workshop, we expect you to attend;
- If you need to cancel your registration, do so at the earliest possible moment, at least 24 hours before the workshop;
- Not showing up without notice will mean you cannot participate in any Career Services activity for 8 weeks. Two no-shows mean you cannot participate for the remainder of the academic year.
