During the Life Sciences Career Event webinars, (young) alumni who work in different jobs at different organizations, will tell you more about their work. Get to know how it is like to work at a pharmaceutical company, at a non-profit organization or within academia. This webinar will start of with a short introduction, after which two alumni will give a presentation about their career and the choices they made. You have the possibility to ask all your questions beforehand or during the webinar by chat.

About:
"My name is Eric van Leen, I currently work at Bayer (Pharmaceuticals) in Germany as a Computational Life Scientist in Tissue Repair. This involves designing in vitro and in silico experiments within the domain of liver cirrhosis, as well as coordinating internal and external collaborations with other Data Scientists. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Biology and Master’s degrees in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences at Utrecht University. During this period, I worked in labs at Utrecht University, MIT, and Cambridge University, which ultimately led to a PhD position at Institut Curie in Paris. I will happily share more career details with you in the upcoming online career event including the choices I faced along the way."
