The MILAGRO project “MIgrants and Local communities Actively GROwing together for inclusive societies”, started on June the 1st and will last two years. The partners of MILAGRO are Nuova Associazione Culturale Ulisse in Siena (project coordinator), Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and the Univerzitetska Biblioteka Svetozar Markovic in Belgrade (Serbia); its associated partner is SIS Intercultural Study Abroad. The project is funded by the European Union.

MILAGRO’s overall goal is to create activities, tools and opportunities to build an intercultural dialogue between locals and migrants, and to develop democratic competences that will entail positive and long-lasting relationships, based on mutual understanding, respect and solidarity.

The project kick off meeting will take place on 10 September at Het Wilde Western Theater room in Utrecht.
