When you do community-based research (CBR) in the context of an internship or a thesis research project, you create knowledge that has meaning for the people affected by the issues that you are studying. Come to discuss the possibilities for CBR internships or research projects by talking to representatives of organisations operating in Utrecht.
Among participating organisations confirmed are: Common Frames; English Academy of Newcomers; InclUUsion; Mexaena, Sharing Arts Society; Stichting Lezen & Schrijven; Utrecht in Dialoog
This event is organized by the Utrecht Stimuleringsfonds Onderwijs project Community-based Research for the Humanities, a collaboration of University College Utrecht and the Faculty of the Humanities. The project facilitates and supports students in doing CBR in the context of internship or thesis research. The project helps students connect with community partners suitable for their project aims, and supports them in handling the complexities of doing research in communities. The project team supports students in their CBR internship or thesis research process with topical CBR workshops and facilitated CBR peer-to-peer research support groups. The project team also organizes a symposium where students present their work to the Utrecht community.
