Good Mourning (Dutch)
The death of a loved one can have a major impact on our lives. Whether it’s causing difficulties navigating university life, managing relationships with others, maintaining our mental and physical wellbeing, or struggling with concentration. Many of us run into all types of questions:
“Who am I without this person?”, “Why is my grief so different from that of others?”, “Why does it persist so much?”, “What will help me cope with the storm of emotions that I’m feeling?”
In the 'Good Mourning' sessions, we create space to help you process your loss. The focus is on sharing and exchanging experiences and stories with a group of peers who are also grieving. This offers recognition, understanding, and support.
Details and facilitators
The Dutch-speaking Good Mourning group is led by Jorn den Hertog and Jan Willem Stenvers, both spiritual counselors, and Yke Eijkemans, a well-being trainer. Spiritual counselors provide professional guidance and create space for conversations about meaning and life perspectives, helping you find what can offer support and comfort.
The five sessions take place in an inspiring location at the Oudegracht, outside the educational context.
