EDI Symposium ‘The power of role models’

to

The theme of the 2026 EDI symposium is the importance and power of role models. The University of Utrecht’s diversity networks have invited various speakers or are organising an activity linked to role models. There will also be a focus on experiences of microaggression and how to deal with it. In addition, the Diversity & Inclusion Award 2026 will be awarded. You can attend the entire programme or just parts of it. Register fast, as places for each program component are limited.

Role Models from Incluusion: 10 Years of Impact!

The EDI Symposium starts with Incluusion. Over the past ten years, Incluusion has supported the academic and social integration of refugees and asylum seekers at UU. With a performance we celebrate ten years of impact by looking back at the program's development and featuring a creative presentation by current and former students. Be inspired by personal stories of resilience, connection, and educational opportunities, and discover how education and community can transform lives.
