Come to the symposium: Let’s get digital!

Speakers:  

• Prof. dr. Nanna Verhoeff is professor. Screen Cultures & Society. She specializes in emerging media, with interest in contemporary transformations within sreen- and interface cultures. Her current research focuses on the development of concepts  and methods for the analysis of performative technologies, situated art and media, and urban interfaces.  
• Paulien Dresscher is curator and researcher within the field of digital media and culture. She’s curating the Digital Culture programme of the Dutch Film Festival, where she focusses on the fellowship-programme. 
• Dr. Sanne Frequin is an art historian, specialized in digital art history. Her research focuses on the digital reconstruction of lost and damaged objects, and on digitalized artworks for research and education.  
• ​​​​​​​Prof. dr. Maaike Bleeker is professor in Theatre Studies. Ze focuses on performances of humans and non-humans in theatre and other contexts (such as within daily life or science). She examines the interactions between human and non-human entities such as robots or instruments.  

Panel members:  

• Dr. David Gauthier is media scholar with the field of digital media and art. He explores ways to study objects and phenomena by establishing transdisciplinairy connections across various cultural and scientific traditions. David is an artist himself, so he can speak from the intersection of scientist and artist.  
• ​​​​​​​Susanne Janssen is an RMA student in Media, Art and Performance studies. She researches art and is a graphic designer. Coming from a background in Art History and graphic design, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective to digital art.
