5th Lustrum and Homecoming Weekend

In 2023 we are happy to mark the 25th anniversary of University College Utrecht, and celebrate the first 25 years of liberal arts and sciences in the Netherlands. We are excited to welcome our staff and students, alumni, wider Utrecht University family and the local Utrecht community to take part in this celebration, which along with the Alumni Homecoming weekend will be held between 8 and 11 June 2023.

The Lustrum weekend will kick off on Thursday 8th June with a cosy community event for University College Utrecht staff and students, followed by drinks and snacks. On Friday June 9th the celebration gets underway. After a campus tour and lunch, the official opening ceremony will take place on campus, followed by an afternoon of academic activities and scholarly debate. In the evening we will have the opportunity to celebrate and have some fun, with dinner from local food trucks, and drinks, live music and a film screening. On Saturday 10th June the alumni homecoming weekend starts the morning with sports and outdoor activities, including an football game, followed by a barbecue and class and committee reunions. If you would like to take part in the Lustrum and Alumni Homecoming weekend, we kindly ask you to register and indicate your preferences regarding the activities.  Some of the activities and sessions may be limited to capacity, but knowing in advance the interest in the programme helps us to plan ahead.
