Academic calendar	Semester I: 2^nd Week of February - 3^rd week of June Semester II: 3^rdWeek of July - last week of November Orientation generally commences the 2^ndweek of February for Semester I and the 3^rdweek of July for Semester II. Exams take place the 2^nd and 3^rd week of June for Semester I and the 3^rd and 4^th week of November for Semester II.
Requirements	GPA (Average Grade) The GPA requirement at this university is 3.0. This is comparable to an average grade 7.0 or above at Utrecht University. You must meet the GPA requirement at the moment of application at Utrecht University (1st of December) English Language Requirement A grade of 8 or higher in final year English VWO or An IELTS , TOEFL iBT* or Cambridge test *only valid if taken after May 5^th 2024 Students enrolled in a fully English taught Bachelor or Master programme (for example UCU), can provide a letter attesting to the fact that their degree is taught and assessed entirely in English. The language requirements must be met at the moment of application to the host university. Please check the most recent language requirements on the website of the host university.
Areas of study open to exchange students	Everything except Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing.

Housing assistance	The University of Sydney offers their students guaranteed accommodation within a 15 minute walk to campus. There's options to live on or off campus. Estimated living costs per month	The average living costs at the University of Sydney are around 2,000 AUD a month. You can find a more detailed breakdown of the living costs here. For a semester exchange including wanting to travel, a budget of 15000 euro on average is realistic, this is based on budgets of exchange students from 23-24 and 24-25 and includes UU tuition fees. Please be aware that the visa fee increased to around 1000 EUR.
