Language of instruction

Most undergraduate courses are taught in French though you will find some undergraduate course offerings in English as well. Master's courses are taught in French or English. See Programmes in English.

Housing assistance

The International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO) helps students prepare for their stay, assists them upon arrival and throughout their mobility, in Grenoble and Valence: accommodation, immigration policies, practical matters, insurances, etc. On the website, you can download welcome guides and information sheets. Here, you will find the main steps to take to settle in.

  • Food 200€-300€/month: 3,25€-4,75€ /meal at University restaurant CROUS
  • Phone / Internet : from 2€ to 30€ /month
  • Transportation:
    • Grenoble: <25 years old: Tramway 15€/month (Grenoble metropolitan area); Bike rental: 15€-25€/month (+ deposit) + information video
    • Valence: from €10 to €20/month for a Citéa pass and from €10 to €15 a month for the Libélo bike subscription service
  • Housing: Student residence (CROUS): 200 to 500 €/month
  • In a private residence: 450 to 850 €/month
  • Health insurance and complementary health insurance: around 6 to 40€/month:
  • Civil liability Insurance : about 16-35€ per year
