Course information

Students can only select courses from the School of Economics.

Language of instruction

Primarily Spanish, very few English-taught courses available.

Requirements

Due to the limited supply of courses in English, a whole study period solely in English is unfeasible. Even when choosing English-taugh courses, a B2 level Spanish will still be required.*
Although sometimes some English-taught courses seem to be offered, you will have to be prepared to follow mainly Spanish-taught courses. The reason for this is that the English taught courses are often full or not available when you try to register for them. Hence, if your level of Spanish is not sufficient, you might not be able to reach the minimum required amount of ECTS (also for the Erasmus+ grant!)

Language requirement: a minimum language level of B2* (CEFR) in Spanish. Students can hand in the following documents at the time of their Utrecht University Study Abroad application:

  • Language certificate from a recognised language school
  • Letter by (high school) Spanish teacher attesting your Spanish level
  • Babel free language level test results

* Utrecht University needs to declare sufficient English and Spanish level for nomination.
