Academic calendar

Tsinghua University academic semester will last for 18 weeks. Teaching weeks are from Week 1 to 16, Week 17th and 18th are exam weeks. You will find a few public holidays in the spring semester, however, some courses may still have classes over public holidays

Requirements

Nationality: only non-Chinese students can attend the exchange programme at Tsinghua University!

Areas of study open for exchange students

According to Tsinghua's regulation, exchange students coming to Tsinghua can take up to 20 credits courses. Among those 20 credits, no more than 8 credits can be courses of other departments. That is to say, 8 credits can be non-law courses.

Tsinghua Law School has English courses for spring semester and fall semester.

You can also study Chinese language in humanity faculty and outside Tsinghua university. 

Depending on the semester there might be an offer of the courses on Arbitration and E-Commerce and Investment Arbitartion Law. International top practitioners are invited to teach these courses.

You are supposed to use your Student ID number and the PIN/password (given by ISSC at the arrival registration) to log in your online account to register for courses. (only after application available)

The English-taught courses provided here are open to exchange students. Undergraduate exchange students are allowed to register for those postgraduate courses.

Tsinghua Law School does not have specific requirements on exchange students' credit, such as how many credits you need, which courses are/are not allowed to transfer credits, etc.. For those credit related issues please consult your home school for your own requirements.

Please note that there is an application fee for around 400 RMB (around 56 euros) per semester. This is a non-refundable fee.

There will also be a comprehensive insurance fee around 400 RMB/semester, this will be charged upon registration.
