Contents

Applied ethics, a subdiscipline of philosophy, is in all Utrecht University's disciplines: in (veterinary) medicine, biology, geo-sciences and humanities. Ethical questions address research integrity, enhancement, autonomy, justice, etc.. In this minor we introduce you step-by-step to philosophical methodology and helps you reflect on societal issues and on reflective professionalism. 

The minor functions as a premaster trajectory for non-philosophy students to qualify for admission to the Master in Applied Ethics.

The minor Ethics in Modern Society consists of 4 four compulsory course modules (30 EC).
